This nationally accredited course teaches you how to perform advanced diagnostic tasks in the automotive retail, service, and repair industries.
The course is intended for individuals who wish to advance in the automotive, service, and repair industries. The objective of this course is to equip you with the skills necessary to perform advanced diagnostic maintenance on light vehicles. You will gain knowledge of diagnosing complex faults in petrol engines, electronic spark ignition engines, brake systems, and test engines. In addition to power supply analysis and servicing electric and hybrid vehicles, trainers will guide participants through repairs to transmissions and drive assemblies, manage environmental compliance, and comply with workplace safety regulations.

Entry Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
- Basic computing skills and have access to a modern computer with internet
- Must hold a current Drivers Licence or International passport
- Complete a test to assess your LLN- language, literacy and numeracy skills or have a valid English Language Test (i.e. IELTS or PTE).
- A minimum overall score of 6.0 is required for candidates with IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 in each band. Comparable PTE results will also be accepted.
Delivery Method
The course is delivered in class, and face-to-face. Students will be required to attend lectures in the designated campus
Students will also be required to have access to a computer/smartphone and internet in order to complete online reading modules and assessments.
