Climate

The city of Perth has more sunny days each year than any other Australian capital city, with an average of 8 hours of sunshine per day.

We have a mixture of Californian and Mediterranean climates, with mild winters and hot dry summers. The skies above Perth are often bright blue and cloudless. The warm weather and beautiful beaches along the Indian Ocean provide the city’s inhabitants with an enviable outdoor lifestyle.

The temperate climate has helped Western Australia earn an international reputation for its food and wine regions, attracting tourists from other parts of Australia and around the world.

Transport

Transperth operates the bus, train and ferry services around the city of Perth and outer areas. Our fare system uses a combination of zones and time limits. Usually, one fare lets you travel anywhere within a certain distance of your starting point until the time limit expires, on any combination of bus, train or ferry services.

Our campus is located in the Free Transit Zone (for buses) and a SmartRider Free Transit Zone (for trains) within the Perth city boundaries. We are also 10 minutes walk from Perth central train station and 3 minutes from McIver train station.

Bus stops are located right outside the College. The Blue CAT stops at a point that is a 5 minute walk from the College.
